Finding the Event
The best way to join the event is by public transport - either local First Essex buses to the bus station in the town centre where you can join the FREE bus service to the rally site at Barleylands, or one of the FREE feeder services if you live in a nearby area. The event is also served by c2c’s Basildon railway station and Abelio Greater Anglia’s Wickford railway station.
The various options are all explained below:
As stated above, if you live locally in the Southend, Castle Point, Basildon, Chelmsford or Thurrock area’s you can use First Essex buses to the bus station in Basildon town centre and then change to the FREE bus service to Barleylands. Additionally First Essex’s 100 service passes right by Barleylands. Please be aware that fares apply on all First Essex buses.
Details of feeder services will be published once they are known.
We have FREE buses serving both Basildon bus/railway stations and Wickford railway station all day - click here for the details...
If you’re lucky enough to know a preserved bus owner you may be able to hitch a lift with them too.
Getting to the rally by train couldn’t be easier.......
c2c’s Basildon station is right next door to the bus station which is served by our FREE bus service to Barleylands. Buses run from the bus station at 0950, 1020 then every 30 minutes at 20 and 50 past each hour.

If you are coming by car, you can either park in one of the town centre car parks and then use the FREE bus service from the bus station to reach the rally itself, or you can park directly at the Barleylands Farm Park rally site.
Basildon is in Essex and is easily accessed via the A13 to the south and A127 to the north of town. Both roads have good connections with the M25 to the West and the A130 to the East. The town centre is well signposted from either the A13 or A127. The Eastgate shopping centre, which is right next door to the bus station, has free parking on Sundays - their postcode for Sat Nav users is SS14 1EB.
Barleylands Farm Park is very close to the A127 at its junction with the A176 and has brown signs leading the way from the A127 junction, so if you are heading specifically for the static rally site you are best off arriving via the A127. For those using Sat Nav’s, the postcode for Barleylands is CM11 2UD. Parking at Barleylands Farm Park is free.
